HONG KONG--Freetech Road Recycling Technology (Holdings) Limited (“Freetech”, or the “Group;” stock code: HK.6888), a leading and fast-growing asphalt pavement maintenance service provider, announced that the Group had successfully completed road maintenance project of Binbao Expressway and Jinji Expressway totalling 350,000m2 in Tianjin City, using its patented “Hot-in-Place” recycling technology.
Tianjin City is a direct-controlled municipality of the People's Republic of China and an international port city, shipping center and logistics center, while Binbao Expressway and Jinji Expressway are the main roads connecting Tianjin City with Beijing City and Hebei Province. During the project, only one lane of the expressways was occupied at a time where the average daily traffic volume exceeds 50,000 vehicles. Despite frequent relocations and complicated road conditions, the Group achieved a peak pace of 10,000m2 service area per set of equipment per day while the test indexes were well meeting the national regulatory requirements.
The project has significantly improved the road roughness, breakage and rutting indices with a shortened duration of maintenance, preparing both of the expressways for a national trunk highway maintenance management inspection to be started by China’s Ministry of Transport in September 2015.
About Hot-in-Place Technology
Hot-in-Place Technology is used in asphalt pavement maintenance, an on-site, in-place technology that rehabilitates deteriorated asphalt pavements through heating, scarifying and mixing the damaged asphalt materials with new materials and thereby minimises the use of new materials. The primary purpose of this process is to repair pavement damages such as cracks, ruts and holes, and bumps.
