In order to improve the performance of emergent cold patching, temporary paving of asphalt hot mix or saw-break-fill patching method commonly used in Kaohsiung road maintenance, the Public Works Bureau of Kaohsiung City watched the demonstration of Hot-in-Place Patching Vehicle at the intersection of Minyu Street and South Zhenghe Road in Qianzhen District in January. This patching vehicle is equipped with special heating and material storage mechanism. By several steps: heat to soften the surface asphalt concrete, scarify, level and compact after the addition of new hot mix. Compared traditional patching methods, it features fast operation and environmental-friendly.
According to the Public Works Bureau, the length of Kaohsiung road is about 12,814 km with a total area of 88.87 million square meters. Due to its vast territory, it is impossible to adopt full-section planning pavement for road repair and maintenance. Routine defect repair is a great challenge for the Maintenance Office every day. Formulating solutions to specific road defects is the key.

damaged road surface, learn more refined road surface improvement methods and
thus effectively enhance the quality of road surface repair.
